DMCA Policy (Copyright)
Last updated: 2026-05-27
Ambedo Labs LLC respects intellectual property rights and complies with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act ("DMCA"). This page explains how to send us a copyright takedown notice, how to file a counter-notice if your content was removed in error, and our repeat-infringer policy.
How to send a takedown notice
To submit a DMCA notice, send a written communication to our designated agent that includes all of the following (required by 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3)):
- A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or someone authorized to act on their behalf.
- Identification of the copyrighted work you believe has been infringed.
- Identification of the specific material on the Service you want removed, with enough detail (URL is best) for us to find it.
- Your contact information: name, mailing address, telephone number, and email.
- A good-faith statement that you believe the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement under penalty of perjury that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on their behalf.
Send the notice to our designated agent:
DMCA Designated Agent Ambedo Labs LLC PO Box 97, Orderville UT 84758, United States Email: hello@dialedstudy.com (with "DMCA Notice" in the subject line)
We are registered with the US Copyright Office's DMCA Designated Agent Directory. You can verify our registration at https://www.copyright.gov/dmca-directory/.
Note (2026-05-26): Registration is in progress. If you do not see Ambedo Labs LLC in the directory yet, the agent contact above is still valid for service of process.
What happens after we receive a notice
- We review the notice for completeness.
- If it's valid, we remove or disable access to the material expeditiously.
- We notify the user who uploaded the material and provide a copy of the notice.
- We log the takedown for our repeat-infringer records.
If the notice is incomplete or appears to be sent in bad faith, we may decline to act and reply to ask for the missing information.
How to file a counter-notice
If you believe your content was removed by mistake or misidentification, you can send a written counter-notice that includes (per 17 U.S.C. § 512(g)(3)):
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- Identification of the material that was removed and the location it appeared before removal.
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed in error.
- Your name, address, and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for the judicial district of your address (or, if outside the US, of any judicial district in which we may be found) and that you will accept service of process from the person who filed the original notice.
Send the counter-notice to the same designated agent address above.
If we receive a valid counter-notice, we will forward it to the original complainant. Unless the complainant tells us within 10 to 14 business days that they have filed a lawsuit seeking to keep the material down, we may restore the content.
False statements
Section 512(f) of the DMCA imposes liability for knowingly material misrepresentations in a notice or counter-notice. Don't send a fake takedown. We will tell the affected user, and we may help them recover damages and attorneys' fees.
Repeat infringer policy
We terminate accounts of users that we determine to be repeat infringers in appropriate circumstances. Our working rule of thumb: three confirmed DMCA takedowns within a rolling 12-month window triggers account termination. We may act sooner for egregious infringement.
Trademark and other IP
If your claim is based on trademark, right of publicity, or another non-copyright theory, email the same address with a description of the issue. The DMCA's specific procedure does not apply, but we will review and act in good faith.
Don't be a jerk
If you can resolve the underlying issue with the user directly, please try that first. The DMCA exists for clear-cut infringement, not for arguments you should have over coffee.
